OTTAWA, January 11th, 2006 – e-academy is pleased to announce that Arizona State University (ASU) has selected Campus ELMSTM (e-academy License Management System) to manage its internal software assets. ELMSTM will allow ASU to streamline its software distribution system, while simplifying its compliance and licensing requirements. Integrated with the university’s own authentication server, the ELMSTM platform provides inventory management, payment processing, and software compliance tracking and reporting.

For institutions of higher learning, procurement and administration of volume license agreements can be a complex and labor-intensive endeavor. And for the IT staff, managing business relations with multiple software publishers, each with their own set of rights management requirements, can be overwhelming. e-academy’s clients choose to outsource the distribution and license compliance management in order to free up valuable resources (human, financial or physical) while in the process generating revenue from software purchases.

Campus ELMSTM is a web-based software distribution and license management system specifically designed for educational institutions. e-academy’s proprietary technology reduces the administrative cost of distributing and managing software, while generating revenue through software sales. The system automates the complex task of software licensing and compliance maintenance for a wide-range of software titles (from various publishers). ELMSTM provides inventory management and accurate record keeping thereby ensuring license compliance and procurement efficiencies.

e-academy is pleased to be associated with a major university like Arizona State University, helping them realize operational efficiencies and enhancing customer service to their faculty, staff and students. “This agreement clearly demonstrates the momentum building among universities and publishers to affirm e-academy’s vision of digital content distribution. It’s another step toward reducing the total cost of technology for academic institutions” said Ram Raju, CEO of e-academy Inc.

The ASU student community will benefit from greater choice, better service, and ultimately greater academic discounts. Software is distributed either by digital direct download (over the Internet) or by traditional media delivery (by the mail). Integration with ASU’s authentication server and budgeting system automates the process of eligibility, entitlements, ordering, approvals (if required) and payments.

About Campus ELMSTM

ELMSTM was designed with consumers in mind, particularly university students. The service allows qualified buyers within the academic market to purchase software titles at greatly reduced prices.
