Actively involved in our community

Kivuto is all about community. We champion community development by empowering individuals and organizations through investing and contributing in education, economic development, human resources, arts and environmental sustainability.

We are proud to support the efforts of the local community organizations below through active involvement and annual contributions.

Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre

The Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre is a non-profit, non-partisan, charitable organization committed to advancing the full social and economic integration and participation of newcomers, immigrants and people of Chinese descent in the City of Ottawa. We’re especially grateful for its services. Through the OCCSC, Kivuto has hired several great employees who have benefited from the excellent training the organization offers.

Shepherds of Good Hope

The Shepherds of Good Hope is a faith-based Ottawa shelter that provides assistance to those less fortunate in the local area, in the form of Support Services, Supportive living, and Shelter Services. These services are carried out with the aim to connect individuals with a feeling of home. Additionally, the Shepherds of Good Hope maintain a soup kitchen, serving hundreds of people daily.

Ottawa Food Bank

The Ottawa Food Bank is a charitable food donation organization. Originally founded in the basement of a former police station, the Food Bank has grown into a principal organization in the city, helping nearly 50,000 people per month through distribution to 140 different emergency programs. The food bank helps organize events, food drives and volunteer initiatives to bring the community together in helping others.
